Coated webbing on fashion bag

Though most of fashion bag still use leather or nylon as the main material, we can’t deny that some vanward bag designers and manufacturers choose coated webbing for their fashion bags. Last week, we just introduced some advantages of coated webbing such as water resistance, abrasion resistance and mould resistance. These are the functional features. Besides, coated webbing can owns perfect surface with our new technology. For example, it can be no scratch on surface and very smooth. If customers want some texture on it, we can offer classical leather texture and some shiny special textures. Within these advantages, coated webbing is usually used at several parts of bags as follow.

1. Bag straps

No matter for cross-body bags, hand bags or backpacks, bag straps are necessary. Now most bags use nylon webbing, polyester webbing or leather straps. But if they use coated webbing, I think they won’t regret. One important point that a piece of bag strap should be supposed is the good hand feeling. That not only includes the smooth surface but also the soft flexible comfort. So we recommend silicone coated webbing. As we know, silicone is a kind of eco-friendly plastic material, which can be used for cooking utensils. The silicone coated webbing is soft enough to be sewed, so that it can be combined with the main fabric of bags together easily.

2. The edge of bag

This is a special design. A designer of outdoor luggage use coated webbing as the close method of the bag. Just as the picture shows. The coated webbing is sewed on the mouth of bag. There also a pair of quick-snap buckle at the edges of coated webbing of two sides. Using the buckle, we can guarantee the objects in the bag wouldn’t spill out. Why the designer choose coated webbing? Because it is waterproof. Water resistance is one important point that both designers and outdoor sport lovers take into consideration. For this usage, we recommend TPU or silicone coated webbing. These two materials of coated webbing will be anti-aging and much more durable.

3. Zippers

Now many outdoor luggage and fishing bags use waterproof zippers. Even some fashion backpacks for laptops choose waterproof zippers in order to protect objects in bags better. The thick webbing will increase the using difficulty of zippers.

4. Decoration

Within the various fashion textures on coated webbing surface, it is also be used for decoration on fashion bags. Some designers choose the smooth matte type, which looks similar to exquisite leather strap. The coated webbing can also be printed logo.
